Every day, in every shop I visit, with each of my customers, I see that Excellence is not only something you decree, but it is something you live.
It is the battle of all leaders: how to build a rationale around the need to improve and share this rationale with their associates.
The response is that formulating the rationale is fundamental, but this rationale needs to be shared by people working. It is about making them feel and live the desire to work better together to please customers and provide better service.
It is all about realizing that your people make the difference, that you cannot do things by yourself. It is about doing things differently, understanding that trust is key, and that only if you, the leader, decide to trust your people and create the conditions for them to work together will everyone win!
